Specialties:

I think about "diagnoses" and "symptoms" as forms of human suffering. The Greek roots for “psychopathology” are: “psych” – soul, “path” – suffering, and “ology” – “the study of.” So really, “psychopathology” is a way of understanding the soul’s suffering.

While I work with many different diagnoses and issues, some of my specialties include:

  • Artists/Creatives - visual artists, actors, dancers, musicians, writers, etc. struggling with creative blocks, self-doubt, and more.

  • Anxiety / Overwhelm / Stress

  • Caretakers and healers such as parents, teachers, doctors, therapists, etc. experiencing burn-out

  • Carrying a secret that shames you

  • Childhood: processing the past and how it informs the present

  • Chronic illness

  • Depression

  • Effortless perfectionism (the pressure to do everything perfectly, all the time, without ever showing how hard you’re working – like the duck who appears calm on the surface but is paddling maddeningly underneath!)

  • Family conflict

  • Grief for a loved one who’s passed, a relationship that’s ended, or something else in life that is being mourned

  • Life transitions: career switch, starting college or grad school, leaving a relationship, moving somewhere new, entering a new chapter.

  • Marital and premarital anxieties

  • Relationship struggles

  • Self Esteem & body image issues

  • Stuckness: in a job, relationship, or other situation

  • Trust issues

Even if you don’t identify with anything specific on the above list, I encourage you to reach out and see if I can be of help.
