I’m a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW) who works virtually with adults and couples in New York State. I also supervise new clinicians. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Duke University and my Master of Social Work from NYU. After graduate school, I completed a two-year intensive training in psychoanalytic therapy at the New York Counseling and Guidance Service. I’ve received couples training in the Tavistock method, Emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and art therapy, and also incorporate the Gottman Method in my couples work. I’m involved with Thich Nhat Hanh’s Plum Village tradition of mindfulness.

Prior to my private practice, I worked as a therapist at a group practice for four years; saw patients, co-ran tobacco cessation groups, and assisted with a research study on postpartum depression at an NYU Langone outpatient mental health clinic; and helped analyze data at cognitive behavioral and social developmental labs. I also managed a health humanities lab which looked at how literature and the arts could help patients advocate for themselves in healthcare settings and mitigate physician burnout.

I’m a member of the American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work and participate in the New Directions conferences for therapists and writers, affiliated with the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis.
